- Yay, because Eli Whitney it will be easier to get the seeds out of king cotton!!
- Cotton Gin: It is a machine to get the seeds out of the cotton.
- Now no one has to do work!

- Slaved property needed to make harvest cotton
- Enslaved Property
- This lady works at Lowell farms and is glad that there is a cotton gin so then it wouldn't be hard to take the seeds out of the cotton. She thinks that no one will need to work any more.
- She thought no one had to work...
- This increased the demand for enslaved "property" because there is a lot of harvesting to be done. Enslaved people were viewed as property than human beings.
- Many slaves were captured and put in metal chains.
