- Prophet Muhamad was born in Makkah in 570 CE. He was poor because both of his parents had died by the time of he was 6.
- He went to live with his Uncle who was a trader. Eventually Muhammad became a trader too.

- Muhammad Was reliable and trustworthy man. A rich widow named Khadijah had heard about Muhammad and wanted to marry him. Their closest male relatives planned the engagement and they married.
- Angel
- He could have led a very easy life but he was upset with conditions in Makkah. He hated the way that woman and the poor were treated badly, plus drunkenness' and gambling.
- Prophet Muhammad was very thoughtful and would often spend nights in prayer. One night he was praying in a cave on Mount Hira when he heard an angel. Angel Jibreel.
- The angel told Muhammad (pbuh) to recite something. Muhammad (pbuh) could not read but the angel said that he was Allah’s messenger. These words became the first words of the Qur’an.
