It was the seventh man's turn to tell his story in the support group. Everyone turned their attention to him.
"I lived in the province of S. They said there was a big typhoon coming so my parents and brother were getting ready for it. I was never close with my brother." he said, starting his story.
"My dad and brother boarded up the house and we all huddled close to the radio. The rain felt like grains of sand against the roof and my young kid-self found this exciting."
"The rain had stopped and dad told me we reached the eye of the storm so I decided to go out to the boardwalk for a bit. K, my next door neighbor and best friend in the world who I saw as my little brother, saw and decided to come with his little dog."
"We reached the shore and explored for a bit but something was weird, as if something was waiting to strike. Suddenly the waves rolled back and I got this sense of fear. I tried to warn K to run but my voice stopped working. I ran myself to safety."
"A giant wave was coming up behind K and he was too focused on something to notice. Once I got to safety I warned him. He tried to run but the wave swallowed him up and his dog. This traumatized me for the rest of my life, I moved out because of it and it wasn't until I was an adult that I re-visited my old town and got over this fear." he said, finishing his story.
