- Lastly, we have radiation!
- Its winter, so it was freezing in my house. I walked closer to the oven and the warmth from the fire radiated and unfrosted my hands!

- Before you leave class, try and answer these two questions...
- What do these words man?
- The teacher moves on and starts to talk about radiation. The definition of radiation is on the board.
- Oh I know! A thermal insulator is something that prevents heat from moving from one place to another
- And a thermal conductor is a material that allows energy, in the form of heat, to be transferred
- The girl starts to think about how her house was cold so she used the warmth from the pop to heat herself up. She thinks about how that is radiation.

- The teacher starts to finish up the lesson, asking two finals question about the definition of words thermal insulator and thermal conductor.

- The girl answers the teacher's questions and defines both words.
- The teacher says the girl's answers were right and that it is now the end of class. She dismisses them and tells them to study and finish their homework.
