- Then, he marched the Continental Army to Virginia.
- The battle and fighting dragged on for weeks.
- Finally, the British Army couldn't take it any more, and Cornwallis surrendered, making General Washington and the Colonists as a whole the winner.
- The British were forced to sign the Treaty of Paris, making America a free, independent country.
- George Washington and the Continental Army had won the Revolutionary War!
