- Meet Rose, a pour, homeless(17)orphan girl, that lives in theslum(20) of te city. She has barely(13) enoughfood, so she has tobeg for food(12) and money everyday. Shewears a worn-out(11) dress that is very cold.
- Meet Audrey, the daughter of a rich man.She lives in a house with many storeys(16).She has everything she needs and wears expensive, smart(11)clothes from wool(11) and fur(11).
- Two days before Christmas,Audrey went shopping with her mother for presents(11).In front of the entrance(17) of a shop, they saw Rose.
- You may have some money for me?
- Yes honey, she seems to freeze(12). I think we schould help her.
- Mom! Look at that girl!
- Of course. I can't believe you do this for me.
- Yes we can, Do you want to come with us to get a jacket?
- Mom, can't we give that girl my jacket with zipper (11)?
- How many years do you live on street?
- Audrey took Rose home and talked to here in the lounge(16).When Audrey heard the story she was really touched.
- I'm living on street since I was ten.
