- There was a very dark path for me, so dark I didn't see any light for my future.
- Kyler (Me)
- I had taken a lot of responsibility for my self that I did not pay attention on how it was affecting me in the long run. I needed to change my environment.
- I had no rules, no curfew, and no discipline.
- That is when I decided to move in with my grandparents on my dad side.
- As soon as I got situated I felt excited but an awkward excitement and didn't exactly know how to feel about the emotion. I mean I still had the same friends and was going to the same school.
- All of a sudden my grandma starting setting rules, a curfew, and wanting to see my grades.
- "Be home by dinnertime and I want to see your report card!"
- It was happening so fast and I was ok wih the rules, the curfew and I didn't care about my grades but, they sure did. When they got a hold of them they immediately had me switch schools. My grandma and grandpa said I need new friends and to start over new.
- I was so mad and confused why they were doing this to me. So I yelled at them and walked out the front with the slamming door following right behind me to go cool off.
- Once I came back they told me to take a seat and explained there reason of how it would affect me later and it was going to be hard. It seemed like they gave me a choice but really didn't.
- I even had to move schools, this meant I had to make new friends.
- So I ended up changing schools. A few years went by and I met new friends I had good grades well, decent grades I should say. Meaning I was going to graduate high school. A place I never new I was going to make.
- At the end of receiving my diploma, I went and got a rose with a card for my grandparents. The card had said, "Thank you for everything you have done for me. I had no future before you guys took me in. Now I have so many opportunities and do not know were to start. I developed so much respect, discipline, and knowledge. I love you guys".
