- I'm also fine. Oh nice, I also study in class IX.Did your maths teacher taught you plotting of Coordinate points in a Cartesian plane.

- The cartesian plane is defined as a two-dimensional coordinate plane, which is formed by the intersection of the x-axis and y-axis. The x-axis and y-axis intersect perpendicular to each other at the point called the origin.
- Plot the point (–5, 4) and identify which quadrant or axis it is located.Step1: Start by placing a dot at the origin which is known as center.Step2: Then move the dot from the origin, move 5 units going left, since x = -5 (negative in x-axis means left side movement).Remember , x-value always comes first in ordered pair(-5, 4).
- Step3: Now, from the origin move 5 units going up, since y = 4(positive in y-axis means an upward movement). The y value comes second in the ordered pair(-5, 4).Step4: Mark the meeting point in the plane and label it as H.Step5: Since the plotted point is in the top left section of xy-axis, then the point (-5, 4) will lie in second quadrant.
