- First The Chief Elder arrives telling everyone she is sorry for being late and explains how she will start the ceremony.

- Second, The Chief Elder starts calling each number and name of the teens to receive their jobs.

- Third, The Chief Elder calls up Fiona after Asher to assign her a job as nurturer.

- Next, The Chief Elder skips Jonas and continues on to the next person in line.

- Then, Jonas looks confused as to why The Chief Elder had skipped him. He was wondering if he did something wrong.

- Why did she skip me? Did I do something wrong?
- Lastly, The Chief Elder realizes her mistake and gives Jonas the job of the receiver. There is only one receiver in the whole community, so his job is very important.
- Jonas please accept my apology. You have been selected to be the receiver of memory. Such a selection is very rare.
