- You can't plant a tree near a big tree. The big tree will block the sunlight so the new plant won't get enough sunlight.

- Plants need sunlight to make their own food. They use light from the sun to convert Carbon Dioxide from the air and water from the soil into food.
- Why do plants need the sunlight ?
- Well, the sun is a ball of hot gas. It's just a star that is nearest to earth. The sun also provides energy and light to all living things.
- Can you tell me more about the sun ?
- No, it isn't. The moon isn't a star because it doesn't make its own light. The moon just reflects light from the sun. That's why it looks bright at night.
- So how about the moon ? Is it also a star ?
- Tonight, we can explore the outer space by using a new telescope that dad has just bought for us.
