- I tightly put the bedcovers over the old man's head and smiled with triumph knowing that success was near.
- DIE!DIE!
- AHHH!!!!
- I put my head to the old man's chest, and to my excitement his heartbeat had stopped!
- I then cut off the head of the man, then the arms and legs. Finally I pulled up three of the floorboards and placed his dismemebered body there
- At four the police arrived. The neighbors had heard the old man's scream and called the them, but I was not worried
- Come in!
- I let the policemen into the house and told them to search and search it well.
- The scream was mine from a nightmare and the man is out visiting a friemd in the country
- Finally they had reached the very room in which I had killed the old man. I knew that they believed my story
