I looked online and found: Durham's Mental Health and Wellness centre....here we go.
Hey, I have been struggling with my mental health recently, I have been anxious over my school work and don't know how to handle it. Do you offer any resources here? I need help.
Hello, Welcome to Durham's Campus Health and Wellness Centre. How can I help you?
Of course we do! We are health and wellness professionals offering a variety of support. We are here to help with a safe and non judgmental space. Please sit, and let's talk. We will figure it out and provide you with the tools you need to succeed.
I am so thankful that Durham College offers support for mental health. Talking to someone really helped put my emotions and thoughts into perspective. I am also thankful for the skills/tools that I was taught such as: journaling down my feelings, sitting in nature to decompress These are lessons that will use forever. Mental health is so important, and so thank you to the health and wellness team and Durham. You have helped me reach the end of the semester with my mental health in check.
I am so thankful for all of the resources offered at Durham College. I have leaned so much and have truly evolved as a human and student. I have gained better study habits and tools to help me succeed. Some are making notes that summarized so that the subject is easier to understand, studying for at least an hour everyday to be prepared for exams, and to active real my notes. I also learned how to properly take care of my mental health! Some tools I learned at Durham's Mental health and wellness program were to journal my thoughts, reach out to someone, and to reconnect with what matter most to me. I have grown immensely since the last time we were here speaking, and I can't wait to see how much more I grow.
I am so proud of how far I have come. I leaned new study habits and have worked on my mental health. Both of these two things are extremely important to me. I am excited to see what's next, and I can't wait to start nursing school! I now know that I have the skills needed to achieve my dream, and now all I have to do is go after it!I know I can achieve all of my goals. Nursing 2024 here I come!
Finally, she's done........ TREATS now? WUFF!
