Did you know that California black worms live in fresh, shallow water in something called sediment?
Sediments are muddy areas with small pieces of rock, leaves, dead animals, dead plants or any piece of nature that is broken down by weathering and erosion.
Black worms will eat mostly algae and bacteria, but they will also eat dead leaves and pieces of wood.
