- I cannot believe that we will no longer have any LES lectures or tutorials. Apart from the disappointment I feel, I am really grateful for all that I have learned.
- Really, Naledi? Do not act like there was anything to learn during LES. It was just a fun period to relax, play kahoot and discuss our views on different topics
- You might view LES as a useless free period, but I learned a few things. I learned how to make notes and study effectively. I now know the difference between paraphrasing and summarizing. I know how to reference properly and how to do research. I also learned how to argue in an academic manner as well as how to write different essays.
- As great as you make it sound, I still do not understand how that will prepare me for my future as an accountant. Learning is always fun but with Les, we just learned things we will not need in the future.
- Come on Lee, look at this from a different perspective. All of the things I learned will help me when doing presentations, studying for exams and doing research for my postgraduate degree. It will also help me in my career, especially when I am doing research for work related manners or writing briefs and presenting at meeting with board members.
- You make valid points. It is not like these are skills I can get from YouTube or TikTok, so I kind of agree that LES was really helpful in equipping me with academic skills. I am confident that I will have more knowledge that first year students in the mainstream.
