- Mr. Oliver an Anglo-Indian teacher was returning to his school late one night from Shimla Bazaar. The pine trees made a sad, eerie sounds that kept most people to the main road. But Mr. Oliver was not a nervous or imaginative man.
- On his way, he found a boy sitting alone on a rock and weeping with his hands covering his face.Boys were not supposed to be out after dark
- Look up !Child what are you doing here ?
- The boy looked up and Mr.Oliver discovered that he was featureless.No eyes ,ears,nose or mouth!!
- Aaaahhhh
- The torch fell down from his hand and he turned and scrambled down the path,shouting for help
- Help!Help!
- He was still running towards the school buildings when he saw a lantern swinging in the middle of the path. Mr. Oliver stumbled up to the watchmen gasping for breath
- What is it Sahib? Has there been a accident? Why are you running?
- I saw something-something horrible-a boy weeping in the forest-he had no face!
- And thats when the wind blew the lamp out.
- Do you mean it was like this,Sahib?
