- Montresor was furious and making a plan to take revenge against Fortunato.

- Montresor meets Fortunato in the town carnaval to show him a wine he purchased(theres no wine, its part of the plan)
- Falling Action
- Nemo me impune laccesit, no one provokes me with impunity
- Montresooor, Montresor this isnt funny, get me out of here.
- Montresor and Fortunato were walking more and more underground into the catacumbs, Montresor was trying to convince Fortunato to turn back because of hic cuff, but Fortunato denies and keep the trip to the "Amontillado".
- Situational Irony
- It was all a trap!!! Montresor chained Fortunato, and makes a wall to lock him up alive and take his revenge.
- Montresor leaves Fortunato chained until he die and nobody notice about this.
- We thought that Fortunato was going to come back because of his cough but he kept walking and that led to his tragic death.
