- Stella and Will become emotionally close, making it difficult to maintain a physical distance. Stella slowly begins to ignore the hospital's instructions, and a special bond is formed between them. They decide to go to the park. While walking in the park, they argue, and Stella falls through the ice of a frozen pond.
- Oh no! I have to save her! But I can't get closer...well..I have to save her so I'll need to go closer despite the risks!
- Gleiten: 2
- Thanks to Will's quick response and intervention, Stella survives. After the incident in the park, Stella returns to the hospital where she is able to receive the new pair of lungs she has been waiting for. But unfortunately, she no longer has anything to do with Will, who decided to leave her in order to protect her.
- I miss him, who would have believed that I would miss a person who is the opposite of me, but at least we just had an amazing and special bond that made me understand so much.
- Gleiten: 3
- A few months after Stella's successful transplant and after their relationship ended, they cross paths at an airport. Although they stayed apart for health reasons, they see each other, and understand in an instant so much about the relationship between them. This is how the book ends - the end of the book remains open.
- Wow, our relationship was really meaningful to me, who would have thought.
- Here is Stella, wow! how much our relationship helped me and made me think differently, what a privilege I had to experience this relationship! I am so grateful!
