Ok, so what is similar about layoff and discharge, whats different?
A discharge is the end of the employees job due to something bad happening, layoff is a number of employees who are discharged from the company due to a change in the polices.
Changes happen when businesses expand due to consumers buying more goods/services. This cause new jobs. If Interest rate goes up then the consumers will buy less causing jobs and work hours to get cut.
