  • Over the years, shoes have become more than protection for the feet. Many people are collecting sneakers as a hobby, with many companies creating collectible shoes. I’m Demarion Abrams and I’m going to cover Air Force 1’s one of the most collected shoes of all times.

  • Nike Introduced Air Force 1s over 40 years ago. The Iconic Air Force 1 sneaker is still the number one shoe today.

  • Air Force 1s received its nickname after presidential plane Air Force One, that carries the President of the United States.

  • Air Force 1s was the first ever shoe to be featured in Nike Air Technology, which consists of pressurize air within the shoe. According to Max Power, NPD group Analyst, these shoes have a classic construction, tough nature, and built to last, as well as classic silhouette, iconic style, and cushioning comfort is in every step. Air Force 1s come in low and high tops.
  • There are over 2,000 versions of the Air Force 1s and they’re still growing, with over 1,700 color variations. The price range for Air Force 1s vary, with the least expensive options around $100 and the more rare, collectible editions priced at over $2,000 per pair. The sneaker was an instant hit with basketball players. Air Force 1s were originally designed for exercise and working out, but over the years their function has emerged into a style.
