- The problem!
- Oh no my staff! I need a stronger material. go find me one! whoever gets the strongest one wins a reward!!
- The quest!
- Im gonna win by sifting for rocks!
- Im gonna win by looking for rocks in the volcano!
- Were gonna win by digging for rocks
- Were gonna win by mining for rocks!
- The first staff!
- The boy in the green is still in. the boy in the red is eliminated.
- I found Jasper, its a 7
- I found pumice, its a 6
- One day back at princess Minerals castle, while she was ordering the rock citizens around something terrible, happened! her gold staff broke. even though the gold was very pretty it was not durable enough. it was only a 2.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.
- Defeat!
- All the men took of looking for a stronger but beautiful mineral determined to win the prize. the two younger men set off alone not wanting to have to share the prize. The middle-aged men decided to go together being ok with sharing the prize. and the two older men went together so that when one got tired the other could start working, not caring about the prize.
- Victory!
- They each returned with a staff for the princess. first was one of the young men, he was the one sifting in the river. at the same time, the other young man who was looking in the volcano showed up. they both presented their rock staff.
- The prize!
- Here is your prize! this gold has no yous for me! do what you wish with it!
- Then the two middle-aged men came back from digging for rocks. They presented their rock staff hoping to beat the younger boy whose rock had a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale.
- The younger boys rock was still stronger! you are eliminated.
- we found obsidian, its a 6
- Then finally the two older men came back from mining for rocks. They presented their rock staff hoping to beat the younger boy whose rock had a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. The boy's rock had already beaten two groups.
- AMAZING! you win! follow me to get the prize
- We found diamond, its a 10 and very beautiful. we hope its good enough
- The two men collected all the gold because even though it was only a 2.5 on the Mohs hardness scale it still has lots of value. the Mohs hardness scale determines the durability, not value or looks. they took half the gold for themselves and gave the other half out to all of the village!
