- Quest for knowledge When the dying Victor gets taken on board by a ship on a expedition finding a passage to Russia, he meets Captain Walton and stops him from doing the same mistake he made by telling him his story about finding glory.
- The start of the story Victor tells the Captain about his family and how it all started. He tells him about how he grew up, his brother William, his Sister Elizabeth who they adopted and his father.

- Studies in Ingoldstadt After Victor is done with his school in Geneva he goes to Ingoldstadt because his father wants him to expand learn different and new things.,
- The creation Victor works hard to complete his work. After he succeeds with his work his health goes down a lot and in the night his creation awakes he is terrified.
