- I am Scout Finch and this is Atticus (my dad), Jem (my brother), Calpurnia (our maid) and Dill (our friend who comes to visit through the summer)! Dill lives in Meridian but we live in Maycomb!
- Gene - Louise Finch, I am aware this is your first day at school but I suggest you stop this nonsense and read like everyone else!
- Miss Caroline, Atticus is a lawyer and he taught me how to read. This is too easy and you don't listen.
- No, Jem, he is not coming to dinner at ours. He got me in trouble with Miss Caroline.
- How dare you attack me! Fine, I will come to dinner!
- Scout, stop! He hasn't done anything, Walter, come to our place tonight for dinner as an apology.
- You too are boring. Walter, shut up!
- Thank you Mr Finch, well I think it is a case of.....
- Genius! Now, Walter, what are your thoughts on....
- Scout!
- Stupid Walter. He is always getting me in trouble! I don't want Calpurnia to be angry with me
- How could you be so rude to Walter! You, young lady, are a disgrace!
- Well done this year! Now, it is over, I want you to all have a great summer!
- Finally school is over and summer is here. It has been so boring and too easy!
