When Mr. Jones fell asleep, all the animals gathered in the barn to listen to what Old Major had to say. He convinces them to rebel when the time comes

Soon after the speech of Old Major, the animals, tired of being mistreated, decided to rebel against Jones and run the farm by themselves. Manor farm became Animal Farm and seven commandments were written to make life on the farm the best it can be.

But one day, Jones and his men returned to the farm to retake it, the Battle of the Cowshed began, and with the Snowball's orders and the help of the animals, the men ran away again

Soon, the leading pigs didn't agree and Snowball was kicked out by Napoleon's dogs after a dispute over the construction of the windmill. Napoleon was now the only one in charge and the construction of the windmill could begin.

In a night
For a year, the animals worked like slaves to build the windmill: long days, hard work, limited food. And in one night such a strong wind made the half finished building fall down. Napoleon put the blame on Snowball and the work started again.

The windmill was built. In all, Napoleon summoned all the animals to the yard and forced them to confess to the betrayals they had committed. In total, three hens, a goose, three sheep and pigs were slaughtered by Napoleon's dogs. Meanwhile, Mr. Whymper left with the eggs that the hens had protested about.
