Droughts, heat waves, storms, and highly polluted air will also come with continued climate change, leading to hunger, water shortages, and other types of crises on a global level. Survival on Earth will become extremely hard for almost all of life on Earth, leading to widespread extinction among plants and animals. Ultimately, even humans may even go extinct as a result of all these consequences.
- Wow, so we might be the sole reason for another mass extinction event, wiping ourselves out completely. I had no idea it was this serious...
- Is there anything we can still do about it? Can we even stop it from happening?

- Of course, Jay. Even you can do your part in reducing your own carbon footprint. For example, using public transport, eating more vegetables, saving energy at home, and recycling are all good ways of emitting less greenhouse gases. If everyone worked together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we can certainly improve our chances of avoiding a mass extinction event.
