- CLIMAX
- the ugly duckling hatches from its egg to look at a disgusted mother. he was different from the rest of his family. one day he runs away because he feels left out.
- FALLING ACTION
- When he runs away, he stumbles across an old countrywoman who wants to kill him because she thinks he is a girl who isn't laying eggs. he eventually leaves her as well.
- RESOLUTION
- after that, an old man picks him up and recognized his species, after a while of the man taking care of him. the little duckling is freed by the old man.
- END
- when the duckling is grown, he finds a group of swans, they call for him and he goes to them, they tell him that they were looking for him but he doesn't know why.
- when he looks at himself in the water, he is happy that he turned into a beautiful swan just like the rest.
- eventually, he never saw his old family again.
