The Black Hand was a terrorist group of 6 teenagers. They were mostly Bosnians or half Serb half Bosnian. They were lead by Gavrilo Princip who was suffering from tuberculosis like some other members and soon would die. Upon hearing the news of the Arch Duke, Franz Ferdinand the heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, visiting Sarajevo, they made a promise to assassinate him. They were assisted by a rogue Serbian Colonel who sent them guns to do the job.
Wrong Turn
June 28th 1914. The Arch Duke was going around to say hello to the people with her pregnant wife,in the car accompanying her. The Black hand were ready and were spread out through the long straight street the Arch Duke would pass through. The first member did nothing and let the car pass. The second however was suffering from tuberculosis and knew he would die so he threw a grenade at the car and then took a cyanide pill which was given to each member and jumped in the river.
Interrogation
The assassination had failed. The grenade had a timer on it and the arch duke threw it out the car just in time. The cyanide pill the member too was old and did not work. The river was also only 4 inches deep so the man did not drown and was apprehended. The Arch Duke was fuming. He went to the town hall with his speech covered in blood. The mayor was lying to make him feel better by saying everyone was so pleased to have him here.
War!
The Arch duke decided to go and visit his injured co-workers and injured citizens in the hospital. Apparently the driver was not aware of the new route so he took a right turn where he shouldn't have. The street they have went into was the same street Gavrilo Princip was eating a sandwich. Princip did not hesitate after seeing the Arch Duke and shot the Arch Duke hitting him on the neck and hitting his wife on the stomach. Killing them both and the baby.
Princip took the Cyanide Pill in hope that he would die but it did not work since it was old and he got arrested too. The police have been trying to get the assassins to confess but they did not say a word. Then one day they brought in an individual who they wanted to ask questions to because he stayed with Princip. He was the guy who supplied the Guns. The police did not know that and just wanted to ask him simple questions. He got scared and told the police everything.
Upon hearing everything from the gun supplier, the Austro-Hungarian Empire now knew that Serbia was behind the assassination nd helped the terrorist gang. They sent Serbia an Ultimatum demanding things. Serbia agreed to all but one. Since they did not agree to all the Austro Hungarian Empire declared war on Serbia. Then all the Alliances had to get involved which started a World War.
