- Hello, my name is the sun, and I'm going to take you on a tour through photosynthesis.
- My sunlight first reaches the plant, where it absorbs carbon dioxide and absorbs water from the soil via its roots.
- When I reach the leaf, the chlorophyll absorbs my energy and utilizes it to produce carbohydrates from carbon dioxide in the air and water from its roots. Sugar nourishes a plant's roots, stem, and leaves, allowing it to thrive. This is referred to as photosynthesis.
- Photosynthesis occurs in the leaves. To allow carbon dioxide to enter their leaves, leaves have microscopic pores called stomata.
- Plant cells have microscopic structures called chloroplasts, which contain chlorophyll.
- The oxygen then exits the plant via the stomata.
