  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • One summer day my son Icarus and I were taken to an island called Crete. We had woken up in a boat. Icarus was wondering why we had been there. I knew the real reason we had been there since I had let Theseus leave from the labyrinth it had upset a lot of people. This made him a prisoner on the Island.
  • Climax
  • A week had passed and all this time I kept asking, trying to bribe King Minos to let us go away/leave. But no he watched us carefully making sure we had stayed. We were going to escape by ship but were quick to realize that the ships were being searched very carefully. Icarus was mad, confused, scared.
  • Falling Action
  • When we were allowed outside of the tower Icarus and I spent the time building wings from the materials we could find. They were mostly feathers and wax. We made wings and tested them out. I was great at building things.
  • Resolution
  • ¨Icaria¨
  • My son went first and obviously, no other person on earth had done this before so I made sure he heard me very clearly. I told him if he flys higher than moderate height his wing will melt and if he fly too low his wings will be clogged from the fog. I flew next and made sure he was flying safely.
  • Icarus wouldn't listen to me and flew higher and higher he felt as if he was a god. His wings were melting and I began to panic small feathers fell. Icarus didn't notice and as he got closer to the sun the bigger feathers fell making him sink to the ground. He started to fall by heart racing as he shouted my name.
  • I landed on the ground safely hoping my son was still alive, shouting his name loudly, ¨Icarus! Icarus!¨ I saw something in the sea it was feathers, I hurried towards it to save him, I was too late. I picked him up in my arms and buried him in a safe place. It was my fault this had happened and couldn't forgive myself. In memory of Icarus, I named the Island Icaria.
