  • FELIX DUJARDIN
  • CELL THEORY
  • CELL THEORY
  • SCHWANN & SCHLEIDEN
  • CELLTHEORY WITHMatthias Schleiden and Theodore Schwann
  • Dujardin studied microscopic animal life and suggested the name Rhizopoda for a new category of one-celled animals in 1834. He rejected naturalist Christian Gottfried Ehrenberg's theory that microscopic organisms were "complete organisms" similar to higher animals, pointing out that they had specialized structures unique to single-celled organisms, implying that the foraminifera he was studying was not a mollusk, as his contemporaries assumed.
  • THE MEETING
  • Don't you think nucleus might be on plants too?
  • There are 3 basic principles of cell theory, according to the unified cell theory, all living organisms are made up of one or more cells, the cell is the basic unit of life, and new cells develop from pre-existing cells.
  • CELLS ON PLANTS
  • Did we just saw cells on the plants partner?
  • By the late 1830s, botanist Matthias Schleiden and zoologist Theodor Schwann were studying tissues and proposed the unified cell theory. The unified cell theory states that: all living things are composed of one or more cells; the cell is the basic unit of life; and new cells arise from existing cells.
  • WRITTEN
  • Matthias Schleiden and zoologist Theodor Schwann were busy talking about the their studies about cells and for them, Schwann studied about animal tissues are made of cells and for Schleiden all plants are made of cells.
  • I have a great idea
  • Could animal tissues be composed too?
  • Matthias Schleiden and Theodor Schwann were talking about on the cells they saw together on the plants, Schleiden was observing several plant species and observed that they all have something in common. They were made up of individual cells.
  • It was amazing partner since we just discovered something
  • Matthias Schleiden discuss more about the cells on the plants, which is he said for him cells are the building blocks of plants and decided to write them all up
  • Should I write how cells are the building blocks to those plants we checked awhile ago
