- Julian bond decided to teach after he lost to john Lewis in the voting in 1986
- Bond be elected along with 10 others after he sent a letter to john lewis.
- Mr. Bond as a part of the house of representative I am proud to say you have been elected along with 10 others.

- After bonds case was overturned he decided to run for president at Southern Poverty Law Center in 1971.
