- Whats up? Im Bruno.
- Noice. Im Shmuel.
- No worries, bro. I'll help you find your Papa. And sneak in. And all that.
- You will? Noice!!
- Mmm... yeah Shmuel, this kinda' stinks.
- At the beginning of the story, Bruno is unhappy to find out that his family is moving from Berlin to Poland due to his father getting a new job.
- Man, I know right? Well, let's go find my Papa Bruno.
- After the move, Bruno really misses his house in Berlin as well as his friends but soon makes a secret new friend named Shmuel who lives on the other side of the fence at "Out-With".
- Yeah. I know.
- You are a great friend, Bruno.
- Bruno finds out that he is moving back to Berlin, so he and Shmuel come up with a plan to dress Bruno in striped pajamas and sneak him into camp.
- Here lies Bruno,and all that.
- While Bruno was on the other side of the fence he searched for Shmuel's Papa, but they didn't find him and Bruno disliked his surroundings and wanted to leave.
- Before Bruno can leave, he and Shmuel are swept together in a crowd of Jews and taken to a gas chamber. Bruno was never heard from again.
- One possible theme for this story is that the choices we make can affect not only us but other people as well.
