- LANDSCAPEDefinition: Section of the Earth's surface made up of a variety of natural or man-made geographical features e.g. Deserts, coasts, rainforests.Sentence: I looked out of my window to see the beautiful, colourful landscape.
- GEOMORPHOLOGYDefinition: The scientific field that investigates how landforms are formed on the Earth.Sentence: The geomorphology of the coast is of global importance.
- EROSIONDefinition: The wearing down, transportation and deposition of material by water, wind and ice.Sentence: Acid rain causes severe erosion.
- CONTINENTDefinition: The land mass on Earth is divided into continents. The seven current continents are Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.Sentence: Every year I travel to a different continent.
- FaultDefinition: A separation or crack in the layers of the Earth's crust caused by stress and movement of Earth's tectonic plates.Sentence: They built a building right over a geological fault.
- WEATHERINGDefinition: The physical or chemical breakdown of materials into smaller materials.Sentence: These are exposed to the weathering action of the air.
