- Thanks for meeting me Eric, I am looking at starting my own deck business and would like to purchase lumber from you.
- Absolutely, You need to know that the prices have gone up due to cost-pull inflation. The lumber raw material price has increased from the lumber mills, as a result I need to charge my contractors more
- We need to talk about our employees and giving them a cost of living increase. The cost of living has increased and they are struggling to make ends meet
- We can do that it makes sense. We will need to raise our consultant prices though. We need to off set our costs with built in inflation.
- I can't believe the increase in prices of food. In particular the lettuce, what is going on? I haven't been shopping since became unemployed!
- It is a classic case of demand pull inflation. There is a shortage of lettuce due to crop issues in California. As a result, there are only limited heads of lettuce available. It is amazing what the grocery stores will charge when there is short supply. They know the consumer will pay these prices to have the product.
