- Once upon a time in the Great Barrier Reef, there was a fish named Fin. Fin the fish lives in the biggest reef in the world. The reef is over 348,700 km2 in size and holds one-third of the world's coral.
- I love life here at the reef, with my best friend and teacher. I love the amount of colourful coral and wonderful fish.
- Hi, I am Fin the fish, I live here in the Great Barrier Reef. with over 5653 species of animals and 1400 species of coral. I live in the Cosy Coral. All my friends are here like Dom the dolphin and teacher Tod the turtle.
- At home, Fin the fish is watching the newswhen Sally the silly shark tells him something scary.
- Oh no, I need to talk to the teacher Tod the turtle, to see if there is anything I can do!!!!!
- Folks today we have some bad news, but first, the weather is wet. But the important news is the reef has been invaded!!! There is a new species of starfish called the Crown-of-thorns starfish. This nasty fellow is killing all the coral, they have already killed over 25% of coral in the Great Barrier Reef.
- They find teacher Tod the Turtle
- About what???
- The Crown of Thorns starfish!!! Is there anything we can do to help???
- Teacher Tod the turtle we need your help!!!
- Little did Fin the fish and Dom the dolphin know there was a threat to the colourful coral!!!!
- Oh yes I heard about that on the news unfortunately not. The Crown of Thorns starfish can not be killed by us. But they can be killed by a human!!!
- Fin The fish finds Dom the dolphin and they go find teacher Tod the turtle.
- Dom and Fin set off to try and find a human
- I don't think we can find one today.
- TomorrowIn the morning they set off again, this time they had more supplies. Once they got to the top of the ocean they saw it, a boat!!!!!
- Dom Dom Dom I think I see it, a BOAT!!!!!!
- Where do we find a human?
- Humans can only be found on land and on boats
- They look and look and look. But no sign of a boat. They decided to try again tomorrow. Sadly Dom and Fin go back home scared of the threat to the coral.
- Let's try again tomorrow.
- Dom and Fin nervously swim over to the boat where they find Holly. Holly is a human.
- Yes yes yes yes, let's go over!
