- Robert Hooke- While studying a cork underneath a microscope, he discovered microscopical rectangles, which he called cells.
- Fun fact: Not only did Robert Hooke help contribut to The Cell Theory, but he created The Law of Elasticity

- Robert Brown-He was the first scientist to discover the nuclei of cells.

- Mathias Schlieden- He discovered that all plants are made of cells
- Fun Fact:Schwann has a cell named after him that is in the peripheral nervous system (the Schwann Cell).
