- Good Afternoon kids, If you have a pizza, you must share it equally with friends. How would you divide it if there are 2,3, or 4 friends?

- I am going to handout multiple types of material so you guys can make your own pizzas to try and figure out the problem given. I expect you to be responsible with all materials.

- Okay class, now that we are in our groups. Solve the problem, but make sure you try more than one way to solve it with Manipulatives.
- During Lesson Phase

- WOW! Everyone is doing great! I like all your strategies!

- We decided to draw using paper and pencil and use the fraction manipulatives to find the answers! The hardest part was to make sure everything was even.

- We also used paper but we cut out the the fraction so it was easier to maneuver. We also took a piece of paper into a circle and folded it in to what fraction we wanted.

- Okay, Class get a piece of paper out and write down what method you like the most and what method you didn't like. Why did you or didn't like the methods?
