- According to this article what was inside of the pyramids were mostly mummies. Mummies were so important to the Epyptians that they prepared them as time-consuming process also involving many steps and rituals.Also, The reason why they made mummies was because Epyptians loved living they loved it so much they wanted to spend eternity in a world very similar to this one so they made mummies.
