- I was not stealing from the company Ms. Adams, I just forgot to put the tool back in its place as it was a busy day and it was already close to closing time.
- Ms. Adams, I believe you were too harsh with your decision. The employee claims it is the first time she is being deciplined but you served her with a final warning.
- Top management takes theft very seriously especially if it involves staff members.
- It is still not okay to suspend an employee on her first disciplinary, the top management knows that falls under Unfair Dismisals of the Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995.
- It would be better if I set up a meeting with the Top management so we can discuss this matter further, I will inform you of the response.
- Do not worry mam I'll meet up with other shop stewards and we will find a way to get you back to work.
- Thank you so much Mr. Abrahams.
- Lihle attends a meeting with the manager in the presence of the shop steward. In the scene we see Lihle pleading with Ms. Adams to reconsider her decision.
- I'm glad I bumped into you guys, I just got off the phone with managment and they have set up a meeting for next week.
- No problem Ms. Adams, please also make sure that there is a mediator present for the inquiry.
- Okay Ms. Adams.
- Frame 1 continues. Ms. Adams finally agrees to set up an inquiry with top management.
- No, you are not expected to work until this matter is resolved.
- Do I need to report to work while still awaiting the inquiry?
- In this frame, Mr. Abrahams assures Lihle that the matter will be dealt with and they will find a way to get her back to work.
- I was told that I must leave and come back next week for the inquiry. Apparently it's a meeting whereby the top management will be present.
- How did the meeting with the manager go?
- Ms. Adams bumps into the shop steward and her employee on her way out, she informs them about the response from the management.
- Lihle is informed that she may leave the factory and come back next week on the day of her hearing.
- Lihle tells her colleagues about the outcome of her second meeting and informs them about her hearing.
