- Did you know, by owner says that the spots on me give good luck?
- Brownie and Spot
- Really?
- Sounds fun! I'll give it a try!
- Would you help me practice?
- Whatever you say, but I am almost 100% sure that I am going to win.
- Higher!
- I am trying! Wee!
- Woof!
- Every day, Spot would come visit Brownie in his dog house and almost always bragged about how his owner said he was the best dog, and saying thing about the spots on him. But Brownie never stood up for himself.
- Here Spot have some crackers with your friend
- The next day, Spot and Brownie went to visit that day on the front porch of Spot's house, which always meant that it was going to be important. "What's the important question Spot?" Brownie asked. Spot asked if Brownie was going to the dog training completion with his owner. "Oh, yes, that sounds fun!" Brownie said. Spot said it isn't going to be fun, and that Spot was going to win because he has won almost every year.
- But that doesn't mean I have to be mean to you
- The dogs went into Spots backyard to practice. "Your first assignment is to jump over this pool into the sprinkler." Spot said. "But-" Spot interrupted him and said, "You wanted me to train you, remember". Brownie clumsily jumped over the pool.
- Why did you help me? I have been so mean to you
- After practicing jumping over the pool, Spot and Brownie were getting hungry so they went into Spots house and got some crackers.
- Before the knew it, it was time for the training competition. Brownie went first. He felt like he did well. When Spot went on, he was so carried away about how good he would do that when he jumped up, he hurt his leg! Oh no!
- Brownie ran up onto the area and helped Spot.
- Don't be mean to someone just because they were mean to you
