- The throne was empty. The king and queen had also died because of this deadly sickness Covid, as the natives called it. They left their only child, Princess Keira, behind who was only 19.
- The castle looked gloomy sitting there. Everything was unkempt. There was no one guarding the doors. Countless people had died because of the sickness that had taken over the kingdom alsmost like a plague.
- Only a few soldier and members of the court could be seen roaming in the halls. Everyone was mourning the loss of their loved ones.
- She would spend most of her time in her room missing her parents and asking God it was her that had to bear the loss of her most of her family members and also rule the kingdom. She had no experience. Her maids and her father's right hand man had also lost their lives. She was left all alone.
- Everyone gathered in the court. Keira gave away orders and everyone set to work. She showed a sense of determination which gave the people hope .
- One day she decided to quit moping around and get matters of the country straight. After all the people depended on her. She called a meeting of whatever members were left of the court.
- Everyone rejoiced in the streets because they had gotten a new ruler. They needed someone to depend on and they believed Princess Keira or Queen Keira as she would be called now, could be that person.
- Keira got ready and sat on the throne determined to change the course of her kingdom for the better.
