- As your last trip was very successful. I want you to go and explore the new land you found last year.
- That's so great! I have new predictions of what might be in this new land.
- Jacques Cartier and 110 people including the Iroquoian chief Donnacona’s sons.
- The crew members and Jacques Cartier travelled on 3 boats. The Grande Hermine, the Petit Hermine, and the Émérillon.
- Welcome aboard everybody! These two Indians will help further guide us to "Canada".
- Jacques Cartier, crew, and natives arrive in Canada after 50 days.

- The French entered through the Gulf and then upstream the St. Lawrence River. One of Donnacona’s sons guided them to Stadacona (city of Quebec)

- By the time winter came, the French settled at the mouth of St. Charles River.
- Looks like we'll settle here everyone.

- Jacques Cartier told Chief Donnacona that he was going to continue to travel the St. Charles River.
- I am going to continue to travel up the St. Charles River.
- You shouldn't do that. I would advise not to travel up the river!
- Despite Chief Donnacona's advise, Jacques Cartier arrived in Hochelaga (Montreal) on 2 October 1535.
