- Hey, could you help me look for the "sine" of this slide?
- Since sine is opposite over hypotenuse, I need the distance between the slide and the pole and the height of the pole
- The length of the slide is around 58 inches and the distance between the slide and the poles is 35 inches
- But I don't know the height of the pole
- 58 in
- 24 degrees
- 35 in

- So, my equation would bex= tan24 (35)
- When I inputted tan (24) to the calculator, it gave me 0.45
- 0.45 times 58 is 15.75. So, the height of the pole is 15.75.
- Since sine is opposite over hypotenuse, the sine of the slide must be 15.75/58
- 15.75/58 is 63/232 or 0.27 when simplified
- What? .... What are you talking about?
