- Hey I am visiting for the weekend! What can you tell me about Incas's society?
- Well..the incas form a central government, force large group of people in a conquered area to move out of their villages so they don't have to much power
- We are divided into upper class who lived in Cuzco and lower classes who live out of Cuzco. Also there were not slaves!
- The Incas worship many gods. The sun is important for their religion. Fun fact they thought their kings never die.
- What about your religion?
- We use astronomy in our culture for agriculture and to identify the best time for sowing and harvesting.
- Oh I also know that The most common shape in Inca architecture was the rectangular building without any internal walls and roofed with wooden beams and thatch.
- Incas farmers grew corn, potatoes and plants for medicine! Lower class work on mines and roads for the movement of goods and people.
- Oh I did a research about that! The roads also helped for army
- What about you language and writing?
- We have our own spoken language, Quechua and our writing was quipu or knot-record that was used to keep records and comunicate information
- Yes, I am Atahualpa and I became the emperor by defeating and imprisoned Huáscar. I massacred any pretenders to the throne
- We also do a ritual where we sacrifice Llamas instead of people.
- Are you the emperor? How did you became the king?
