- As the sun slowly goes down, the new family starts singing Dough's favorite song, O Christmas Tree.
- ...one year later
- Chief elf tells Santa that almost all the elves got a human disease. At first it just looked like a cold but in the next couple of months it got worse and worse.
- I think it's called Covid-9 or something... Oh right, Covid-19.
- I know someone who might help, do you remember the Pierce family?
- How could I forget, those true believers saved Christmas, twice!
- Lets go and see an old friend. Set the fastest course to Lowell, Massachusettes.
- Hi Santa. I am happy to see you but isn't this your busiest time of the year?
- Hey kiddo. How's it been?
- You see Kate, since you and Jack came to the north pole last year, we have been infested by a disease called Covid.. something.
- We have been dealing with coronavirus for a while now. My mother could help us with the situation.
- Hi mom. I know that this might sound wired, but there is an issue at the north pole and we need your help.
- Hi Kate, what are you doing here?
- On Christmas Eve of three years ago while you were working late, Teddy and I tried to catch Santa on camera and one thing lead to another and we got to the north pole.
- What are you talking about?
- That's true! Last year when Kate and Jack came up north they brought a very contagious virus with them. Do you think you could help us?
- It's Covid mom.
- Yes no problem. What virus are we talking about?
- Santa, Kate and Claire go to the north pole with a load of covid tests, masks and vaccines.
- I have to admit it's pretty chilly here. Do you know where I can find Ms. Claus?
- Oh sorry. Nice to meet you by the way. I'm Kates' mom. Santa asked me to help with the Omicron situation. I have some vaccines, but I think we may have to change them slightly so that the elves' immune system does not reject it.

- While Claire and Ms. Clause were adapting the vaccine, Santa and Kate went to look for a particular plant that would kill the virus one and for all.
