- Kim Minsuk and I are getting married. We will have to stay in America.

- Wait WHAT?! Why didn't you tell me earlier?! What about my friends! My comics! What about... everything I once knew?!

- Robin supposedly visiting her mom's friend, Kim Minsuk, along with Kim's family for a temporary vacation in Alabama. However, the other people whom Robin is supposed to live with for a few weeks seem to ignore and dislike her.

- *Blue text is Korean, Black text is English, Red text is a character/location description or introduction.Robin discovers that the vacation is actually permanent, as Robin's mother reveals to her that she is marrying Kim Minsuk, Lena's divorced Father.
- If the stepfamily does not know about this, they can't stop us.
- We are leaving Alabama. Kim Minsuk is only digging himself deeper into debt.
- Oh and by the way, don't tell anyone we are moving.

- Robin's first encounter with bullying and racism at Ashley's middle school, which mostly consists of American people, which means that Robin is one of the only few Asian students at this school.
- I got some red bean shakes for you guys. This shake is so yummy though...
- Wow... everything look so much more different compared to the United States. Everything... traditions, foods, travel, and also behavior.
- We already got some but thanks anyway. The shakes are just so tasty. Like, just amazing.
- Robin meets Jessica, a Japanese girl who shares her love for comics, at a class for well, comics. They quickly became friends and she helped Robin feel a lot better about her situation. Jessica also gave Robin a greater sense of confidence.
- Robin's mother reveals to Robin that her marriage with Kim is not going well. Kim MInsuk moved to LA, and after a trip to LA by Robin's mother, Robin's mother realized that Kim wouldn't be able to support Lena and Robin, as Kim lived in a very poor region of LA. In addition, Kim was very stubborn about staying in a place where he was only going to get poorer and poorer.

- Robin meets other Korean girls at her school, whose names are Soyoung and Minji (Soyoung wearing the black jacket, Minji wearing the blue jacket). They visit Korea, where they experience the nightlife of Seoul. Robin, however, as someone who has previously lived in Korea, begins to feel alienated in her own motherland.
