- When adkinson first got to pizza hut he hated it he started off bussing tables and washing dishes.
- One day when Adkison was fed up he asked his boss Jeff if he could switch positions. Jeff let him and he ended up being happy with the job and him and Jeff and all the coworkers became like a second family. They went on trips and he even payed for her college visit.
- Eventually Adkinson left for college and had to quit his job. Him and Jeff still communicated and they would even go for lunch when Adkinson was in town.
- When Toni Morrison first got the job she was cleaning the house for the lady. She liked it . She wanted to work for her so she can spend the money on herself but more importantly so she can spend it on her mother.
- When the lady started trusting her even more she gave her more things to do like moving bookcases and moving a piano from one side of a room the the other. She wanted to complain about this but she was scared that she would get fired and would "lose the freedom the dollar gave her.
- Then when her and her father were in the kitchen one day she started to complain about her job and her dad told her "Listen. You don’t live there. You live here. With your people. Go to work. Get your money. And come on home.”
