- CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!
- Henri currently lives in Sydney with his wife of 40 years Mary Ann, and has two sons. He remains in close contact with his Swiss foster family.
- A few months later in 1943, My mum gave birth to me in a refugee camp in Lausanne, Switzerland. Sadly, my dad had left us on the way to this safety. If you can even call this that.
- Later, I moved out of the refugee home because my mum was scared that I was going to go down with the sickness that other kids my age were dying to.
- My mum moved me to a foster home with foster parents called the Meyers.
- OMG! Your home! Henri, I am sooo happy to see you
- Mama!!!
- When I was 3 I was reunited with my mother who was living in France at the time. Having grown up with a German - speaking foster family, I couldn't speak Polish or French which made it very hard for me to communicate with her.
- Sadly, 1 year and a half later, I was sent back to the Meyers because my mum went down with a major ear infection, that she caught from the Swiss refugee camp.
- Life was fun at the Meyers, it was a lot different to the refugee camp, that's for sure. I just wished that my mum was there to enjoy it with me. I kept hoping that she was okay.
