- Yes, it belongs to a girl who has passed.
- In Chapter 13, after Bud entered the building where Herman E. Calloway was he pointed at Herman and yelled "that's my father!" and then they had an conversation about where Bud came from. Also in Chapter 13, the band and Jimmy invited Bud to go eat at the Sweet Pea and when they where on their way to the Sweet Pea Jimmy and Bud were talking about why does Bud assume Herman is his father.
- In Chapter 14, Bud and the band got to the Sweet Pea and once they arrived Bud saw a table inside the place that said "NBC" and they sat there with Miss Thomas. While Miss Thomas was talking to Bud about his situation and how the Home was for him.
- In Chapter 15, the band, Herman E. Calloway, Miss Thomas, and Bud arrived at the Grand Calloway Station and they went into the house and he followed Miss Thomas to a dead girls room. When Bud was in the room Calloway went into the room and told Bud not to touch anything that was in the room,
