- Psyche is so pretty!
- Psyche was one of the three sisters, princesses in a Grecian kingdom. All three were beautiful, but Psyche was the most beautiful. Aphrodite became jealous of all the attention people paid to Psyche. So she summoned her son, Eros, and told him to put a spell on Psyche.

- My dear son, punish that contumacious beauty; give your mother a revenge as sweet as her injuries are great; put a passion for some low, mean, unworthy being in the heart of that ambitious girl, so that she gets a humiliation as great as her present delight and victory.

- Cupid is sent to shoot Psyche with an arrow so that she may fall in love with something hideous.
