- Jackson was a white12 year old was a paperboy .He has brown eyes dark hair and he is a Hispanic male and wanted to moved to Oregon for free land. So in 1891. Jackson’s family moved to the west .it was a hard and difficult Journey because they had thunderstorms and blizzard. Jackson was a Brave and adventurous person Jackson learned that if you never stop you'll make it

- One morning Jackson looked around for some food but when he went to go check the storage some of the food was becoming rotten next .Flies flew around the meat and buzzing in Jackson's ears Jackson felt sick just looking at the meat then he felt like he was going to throw up and looked like the meat was about to rip open

- Jackson told his dad about the incident so dad decided to stay up to see what was the reason why the food was rotten
- he stayed up and found out it was because of bacteria waste picking up by cleaning the meat in contaminated rivers and didn't know it was contaminated
- Jackson thought in his mind he wished he never cleaned the meat in . but then Jackson throw away the meat and thought of an idea to go hunting they went to Forest the forest was wet and dampedand then they saw an warthog dad hadn't no time to lose so dad shot the animali but the animal was still strong and then the animal rushed towards Jackson and Jackson's dad but then an arrow shot the warthogJackson was confused on who shot the arrow .then a person came out of the woods it was a Native American Jackson was is paying for that the Native American shot the warthog so Jackson and Jackson's dad decided to bring the warthog to the wagon to cook and eat Jackson felt relieved that they were able to find food .
